I think a lot of us were shocked when we heard Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe were getting a divorce. Poor little Reese. She has always been known for being a nice girl and a good mom. Why would he cheat on her after seven years of marriage?
Ryan Phillippe is a classic example of the hot package/lousy personality combination.
When Ryan was filming the movie Stop Loss, he couldn't keep his hands to himself. He was seen making out with co star Abbie Cornish in an Austin, Tx restaurant the last day of filming.
The last movie I personally can remember him starring in before Stop Loss was Cruel Intentions. There probably was more, but I never have been a fan of Ryan Phillippe. It seems like he took his role in Cruel Intentions to heart. He is a very cruel and selfish person to mess up a marriage like this.
So where are they now? Reese Witherspoon is happily involved with Jake Gyllenhaal. It seems to be a match made in Heaven. I think sometimes bad things happen to good people. At least, when one door shuts another opens. She is so much better off.
As for Ryan Phillippe, he was rumored to have dated a few different celebs like Britney Spears. Obviously, none of these were as serious as Reese and Jake. Really, who could have a serious relationship with him?
